Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our decentralized crypto exchange team. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, implementing financial controls, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. Compensation will be commensurate to experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the company's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
• Manage the company's relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, and present financial information to senior management and the board of directors.
• Identify and manage financial risks and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage the company's banking relationships and ensure adequate liquidity.
• Provide support for fundraising efforts, including preparing financial models and forecasts.
• Oversee and manage the company's payroll and employee benefits programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• Candidates with the following traits will be successful in this role,
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the financial services or technology industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with decentralized technologies and cryptocurrencies is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
